Travelling to England from Canada with a Back disability?
So my mother has a back disability that requires that she says off work and does minimal things around the house that are not repetitive. It has been her dream to visit England, Scotland, and Ireland as that is her heritage.
One way or another I will get her there but the question is how?
My mother needs to stand up and move from time to time and she needs to have a straight upright position when she is sitting.
Can anyone give me a clue what to do? It would break my heart if I couldn’t do this last thing for her.
A back injury that ‘requires she stay off work and does minimal things’ doesn’t sounds like it should stand in the way of a vacation to Europe… staying off work and doing minumal things are what holidays are all about so I don’t see an issue there.
Sounds like you need to figure out the best way to get her there, with a bad back. First thing I’d do is call someone like British Airways or Air Canada and see if accommodation can be found so she can sit straight upright during a flight.
If not I’d suggest sailing to England, go on a cruise ship… takes longs and is more expensive however but much easier on her back.
Going to England with an iffy back is do-able.
I’d also suggest posting this under ‘England’ or some medical catagory for more input and ideas
